Pro plan

Your website inventory, kept current

Website syncing is a Pro capability. Once your website is paired with your workspace, the inventory you manage in StockToSold is the inventory customers see online.

Availability depends on connector setup. Website syncing works once the StockToSold connector is installed on your website and paired with your workspace. Website platforms differ, so if you want to check that yours will work before you subscribe, email hello@stocktosold.com with your website address and we will tell you what is involved.

Setup

Five steps to connect your website

You do this once. After that, syncing runs from the work you are already doing in your inventory.

1Install the connectorAdd the StockToSold connector to your business website
2Generate a codeCreate a secure pairing code or token
3Enter the codePaste it into StockToSold to pair the two
4Import inventoryBring in the listings already on your site
5Sync changesNew, edited, sold, refunded, or archived listings
Pairing

Paired with a code, not a password

The connector on your website and your StockToSold workspace are linked with a secure pairing code or token that you generate. You are not handing over your website login, and the pairing can be replaced if you ever need to.

  • Connector installed on your own website
  • Pairing code or token generated for the connection
  • Code entered once in StockToSold to complete setup

Import

Start from the inventory you already have online

If your website already lists appliances, import them rather than retyping them. From that point on, the records in StockToSold are the source your website follows.

  • Import existing website inventory into your workspace
  • Updates flow out to the site as you edit records
  • Publishing controlled from your inventory, not a second system

Ongoing sync

New, edited, sold, refunded, or archived

The events that change what a shopper should see are the events that sync. Add a unit and it can be published. Sell it and it comes down. Refund it and it can go back up. Archive it and it is gone from the site.

  • New listings published to your website
  • Edited listings updated online
  • Sold units removed from what shoppers see
  • Refunded units returned to your listings
  • Archived units taken down

Confidence

Status and history you can check

Syncing is only useful if you can tell whether it worked. Sync status and activity history show what has been sent, and failed syncs are retried rather than quietly dropped.

  • Sync status for the connection
  • Activity history of what synced and when
  • Retry handling for failed syncs

Worth knowing

Your website needs the connector

Syncing runs through the StockToSold connector installed on your site. If you are not sure whether your website can take it, send us the address and we will look before you commit.

Your inventory is the source

Once paired, changes flow from StockToSold out to your website. Managing a unit in one place keeps the two from disagreeing.
